The Chasing Genius Challenge by National Geographic is a competition for world-changing ideas in the categories of sustainable planet, global health and “feeding 9 Billion”.
Only legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry are eligible to enter.
To find out if your idea is a spark of genius, create a one-minute video describing your CHASING GENIUS idea and the solution it provides. Your idea will be evaluated on the following criteria: innovation, creativity, viability, and inspiration.

How it works?
Formulate Your Idea: Review the issue categories above in relation to where you see an opportunity to make the world better. Explore your curiosities, follow your interests and ask questions. Now it’s time to identify and formulate your idea.
Create a Video: Create a one-minute video describing your CHASING GENIUS idea, the problem it addresses and the solution it provides. Your idea will be evaluated on the following criteria: innovation, creativity, viability and inspiration.
Enter the Challenge: Starting June 1, submit your video as part of the Challenge application, which includes a short description, the problem it addresses, your proposed solution and a little bit about yourself and what inspires you. And after posting, be sure to share it with your friends.
Starting June 1, you can submit up to three ideas to the CHASING GENIUS community and share and comment on the ones that inspire you. Be sure to tap into the creative genius of your friends and family and encourage them to participate.
Members of the CHASING GENIUS Council will help choose three winners, one in each category, and the community will choose the People’s Choice. The four winners will receive $25,000 each to take their ideas further.

To enter, visit the web site www.NatGeoChasingGenius.com (the “Website”), create a Chasing Genius account, and complete the entry form on the Website. The entry form will ask for you to create a title for your Idea, a brief description of your Idea, a brief description of the problem you are trying to resolve, a brief description of your solution, a little background information on what inspired your Idea, and lastly, upload your one-minute video into one of the three Categories to complete your Submission.
